MS-80SH

Pyranometer

Class A + Integrated Dome Heating + Spectrally Flat & Fast Response
With integrated high-efficiency dome heating, the MS-80SH is the new standout choice for value, accuracy, speed, reliability and IEC 61724-1:2021 Class A monitoring.

MS-80SH

The MS-80SH pyranometer is EKO Instruments’ most advanced Class A solar irradiance sensor, engineered for precision, durability, and long-term field stability. As part of the S-Series family, it delivers ISO 9060:2018 Class A, spectrally flat, and fast-response performance — ideal for PV monitoring, solar resource assessment, and research applications.

Building on the industry-defining MS-80, the MS-80SH adds Modbus 485 RTU and SDI-12 digital outputs, improving compatibility with modern data loggers and SCADA systems. It features an integrated low-power dome heater (<1.4 W) to prevent dew and frost, enabling consistent data capture in all weather conditions.

The MS-80SH also includes internal diagnostics for temperature, humidity, tilt, and roll — reducing the need for manual inspections and ensuring system integrity in remote or hard-to-access locations. With the lowest zero offset A (<1 W/m²) and <0.5% long-term non-stability, it sets a benchmark for accuracy and reliability.

Every unit is factory calibrated at EKO’s ISO 17025-accredited facility and comes with a 5-year warranty and 5-year recommended recalibration interval, delivering best-in-class value and the lowest total cost of ownership among Class A pyranometers.
