Can you trust your irradiance data? Can you rely on it in your analysis?
We were thrilled to unveil EKO Q, our new online software service designed to ensure you can trust your pyranometer data.
Unreliable irradiance data can skew your analysis and decisions. EKO Q changes that by automating quality control, cross-checking field measurements with sensor specifications and satellite data, and delivering clear, actionable reports.
Attendees at Intersolar Europe got a firsthand look at how EKO Q revolutionizes data reliability. Visit our product page to learn more or contact us to schedule a demo and see it in action.
The MS-80SH Plus+ is a cutting-edge, all-in-one Class A solar monitoring station designed for precise measurement of global (GHI), diffuse (DHI), and direct (DNI) horizontal irradiance. Built around the industry-leading MS-80SH pyranometer, it features a unique internal rotating shadow band. With integrated dome heating to prevent dew and frost, a fast-response thermopile sensor, and a smart C-Box interface with Modbus 485 RTU output, it ensures IEC 61724-1:2021 compliance. Its compact, low-maintenance design and 5-year warranty make it a cost-effective, reliable solution for diverse photovoltaic applications, from remote solar plants to bifacial PV monitoring.
The MS-80SH pyranometer’s low zero-offset behavior and compliance with IEC 61724-1 standards ensure high accuracy for GHI measurements.
The MS-80SH Plus+ employs a rotating shadowband to periodically block direct sunlight, allowing the pyranometer to measure only the diffuse component.
The system’s processing unit (e.g., the C-Box Modbus interface) computes DNI based on the pyranometer’s GHI and DHI measurements.
The MS-95S Sunshine Diffuse Sensor is a cost-effective, high-precision instrument designed to optimize bifacial PV systems by detecting diffuse irradiance conditions.
Featuring a single-chip detector and full hemispherical field of view, it delivers >90% accuracy in identifying diffuse-dominant skies, enabling single-axis trackers to switch to horizontal positioning for maximum light capture. With no recalibration needed, simple installation, and compliance with IEC 61724-1:2021, the MS-95S integrates seamlessly via Modbus RS-485 or SDI-12, making it ideal for smart tracker control, PV performance monitoring, and solar resource assessment.
The ASI-16 All Sky Imager from EKO Instruments is a robust, all-weather automatic camera designed for real-time sky monitoring, featuring an integrated ventilator to prevent dew and frost buildup. Equipped with a high-resolution sensor, it captures detailed sky images for solar and meteorological analysis, offering cloud tracking and irradiance forecasting capabilities critical for optimizing photovoltaic (PV) plant performance. Its durable, weather-resistant housing (-40°C to +80°C, IP67 rating) ensures reliability in harsh conditions, while its compatibility with data loggers and SCADA systems via standard interfaces enhances its utility for professionals.
