MS-80

Albedometer

ISO 9060:2018 Class A
Designed to measure albedo with the lowest uncertainty across various applications, including meteorology and in solar power plants with bifacial PV modules.

MS-80

The MS-80 Albedometer consists of two MS-80 Pyranometers and the MS-Albedo Kit, with a glare screen, and is designed for measuring albedo with the lowest uncertainty across various applications, including meteorology and in solar power plants with bifacial PV modules.

Fast-Response and Spectrally Flat, with unprecedented low zero offset, analog output, and a 5-year warranty and recalibration interval, the MS-80 is an ISO 9060:2018 Class A leader and the IEC 61724-1 compliant go-to option for photovoltaic system performance monitoring and large weather monitoring sensor networks around the world.

The patented design of the MS-80 features an isolated thermopile detector. Hermetically sealed under a pure Quartz diffusor and housed within a compact single-dome, the diffusor allows all solar wavelengths through while ensuring that the total energy received at the detector level, including harmful UV irradiance, is substantially lower than usual.

Our design, and commitment to quality, means that the MS-80 is better than competing pyranometers, best in class for accuracy, speed and reliability for every application.
MS-80 Pyranometers are manufactured with strict quality controls and performance evaluation. EKO provides calibration compliant with the international standards defined by ISO/IEC17025/9847, validated through a measurement report that comes with the sensor and a 5-year recommended recalibration interval.

Key Features:

  • <0.5s Super-fast response time for always-accurate measurements, even during rapidly changing irradiance conditions
  • Unbeatable reliability, with a 5 Year warranty & recommended recalibration interval
  • <1W/m² record lowest zero offset A, and <0.5% lowest non-stability over 5-Years
  • IEC 61724-1 compliant photovoltaic system performance monitoring
