PVmet-500-M1
- Modular platform for all conditions
Overview
PVmet is an innovative sensor platform for PV monitoring, developed by Rainwise Inc. and provided by EKO.
The PVMet series of weather stations are designed for solar operations looking to gain insights into the efficiency and status of their PV system with accurate, bankable data. The PVMet series is simple to use, tough enough for harsh environmental conditions, and powerful enough to transform a solar installation into a sustainable solution that saves resources and energy.
The PVmet-500-M1 is a unique weather station based on the modular PVmet-500 platform, compatible with IEC 61724 requirements for PV monitoring. Multiple high-end pyranometers and weather sensors can be combined to form a turnkey solution for PV monitoring applications. This low-cost station is compact, easy to manage, install and connect to an inverter or SCADA system.
The PVmet-500-M1 weather station comprises a powerful electronic interface for connecting all sensors and converting the output to a Modbus data string (RS-485 Modbus interface - Sunspec® certified).
Standard measurement parameters
- PV back-panel temperature
- Relative humidity
- Barometric pressure
- Ambient temperature
- Wind speed and direction
Optional parameters are irradiance (GHI, POA), wind speed and direction (Ultrasonic), and precipitation. Additional back-panel temperature sensors are also available.

Mini-Aervane Wind Speed & Direction Sensor Specifications
Description | |||
---|---|---|---|
Mini-Aervane Wind Speed & Direction SensorThe WeatherLog AerVaneTM with a balanced propeller is supported in stainless steel instrument ball bearings. The propeller drives a serrated disc which generates pulses in an optical switch. The direction is obtained through an optical resolver. There is no “dead band” and the resolution and accuracy are ±1.0 degrees. There are no contacts or brushes in the assembly. The AerVaneTM is made from anodized aluminium, stainless steel, ultraviolet inhibited PVC and Lexan® plastic. The Aervane is optional for the PVmet and Agromet systems. |
